Democratic state Attorney General Martha Coakley leads Republican state Senator Scott Brown in the race for the Massachusetts Senate seat left vacant by the death of Senator Ted Kennedy.
Coakley leads Brown, 50% to 39% while Rasmussen shows Coakley ahead by 9 points.
This is an indication that 2010 is going to be a difficult year for Democrats. Massachusetts is a solid Democratic state and Coakley should be ahead by 30 points.
