Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley and Congressman Mike Capuano are the two Democratic contenders facing off in Tuesdays Democratic primary for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. After looking at the race and the candidates, Capuano is the progressive choice and should be Massachusett's next Senator.
Coakley is favored to win the primary but Capuano a progressive in Congress will work with progressive Democrat's for a progressive agenda in the Senate. Capuano has been endorsed by Progressive Democrat's of America, Speaker Pelosi, Congressman Ed Markey and former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis.
Capuano is pro choice and supports a with drawl from Afghanistan and Iraq and opposed the Funding for Military Operations Bill in Afghanistan and Iraq. Capuano has been a Progressive in the House and will be a Progressive in the Senate.
