Palin well liked by Iowa Republicans

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin could draw a lot of support in Iowa if she decides to seek the Republican nomination for President according to a new poll. The Des Moines Register Iowa poll finds that 68% of Iowa Republicans have a favorable view of Palin which could help the former governor if she decides to seek the Presidency in 2012.

Iowa Republicans are very conservative just as Iowa Democrats are very liberal. Iowa Republicans tend to go with the evelengical candidate. Keep in mind that Pat Robertson did well in Iowa in 1988. George W. Bush won Iowa in 2000 and Mike Huckabee captured the state in 2008. Huckabee continues to have a strong following in Iowa and will be a strong candidate in Iowa. Palin however could draw a lot of evelengical support and Iowa could be a Huckabee-Palin fight. That's fine, Palin will not survive after Iowa, she won't win New Hampshire and forget the Super Tuesday states however if Republicans are stupid enough to give Palin the nomination, then it guarantees a second term for the President.
