New York Senator faces tough fight

As I reported a few days ago, I will blog again, NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is in for one hell of a fight against Rudy Giuliani.

According to a Zogby poll Giuliani leads Gillibrand, 45% to 43%. Gillibrand leads former New York Governor George Pataki, 43% to 38%.

Giuliani leads Pataki in a GOP primary, 72% to 28%.

Gillibrand will have a tough fight and she needs to raise money and start traveling into the city. She needs to get the African American vote solidly in her corner by exposing Giuliani's record as Mayor. Appearing with the President in NY would be a good idea and engaging actively in the health care debate would be a huge help to the freshman Senator.
