Ford considers U.S. Senate run in New York

I highly doubt this will happen but it's out there so I guess I will write about. There are reports that former Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford who ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 2006 could be a candidate for the Senate in '10in New York. Ford is currently teaching at the Wagner School in New York City and according to Democratic sources "has been talking about the possibility of taking on Gillibrand".

Ford is a conservative Democrat unknown in NY and would never defeat Gillibrand. This is like 2001 when Bob Kerrey considered running for Mayor of New York City, these guys cannot win in New York City.
