Colorado U.S. Senator Mike Bennet was asked by CNN if he would vote for the health care reform bill even if it meant losing his seat in the Senate in November 2010. Bennet's reply "Yes".
Bennet was appointed to the Senate by Gov. Bill Owens to fill out the remainder of Interior Sec. Ken Salazar's Senate term. Bennet will face Colorado voters next fall for a full six year term.
It is refreshing to see a Senator finally standing on principle and not worrying about the polls back home. Bennet realizes we have to pass this bill and it's great to have him on board.
