Four years ago a Senate Minority Leader was defeated when Tom Daschle unfortunately lost his race to John Thune in South Dakota. Well 2008 could be a repeat but with a better headline. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell is in electoral trouble. The longtime Kentucky Republican Senator is trailing Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford 49% to 44% in their US Senate race.
Look for an interesting, expensive and nasty Senate race in Kentucky.
