Before this race is over we will no longer have to question John McCain's manhood, values or character because it will be clear to all that the "Fiction" of McCain's legacy is a greater illusion than his testicular fortitude. The selling of the "Maverick John McCain" is a fiction perpetuated by his handlers and friends in the media. "WAR HEROES" do not run around telling anyone and everyone that they can find how how damn heroic that they are. Do they? Ever listen to Bruce Springsteen's Song Glory Days? Heroes do not live to tell tall tales. Myths do. Heroes die. Liars never tell you how they graduated 4th from the bottom of their class at the Naval Academy, how their legacy admission is the only reason they were not expelled or that they were never promoted to Admiral because McCain was of low intellect, had little if any intellectual curiousity about flight plan preparation, spent more of his time behind a bar stool than actually studying, crashed numerous military aircraft and was hardly viewed by anyone at the Naval Academy as a serious Naval Aviator. In fact, he was more enamored with the title "Naval Aviator" then he was in actually becoming a marginally proficient pilot and he was known to have spent most of his time at the Naval Academy in a drunken stupor. Is this the kind of "Maverick" we want to be the leader of the free world? McCain was a terrible pilot who crashed and destroyed many planes and probably should not have been given his assignment in Vietnam where he was shotdown, briefly tortured and then sung like a canary for the Viet Cong. Think about that. John McCain was a terrible pilot but was into the title, lifestyle and glory behind being a Naval Aviator but was not willing to prepare. Ask yourself whether this putz would be the same as President. Ask Ross Perot and what he will tell you is that McCain is a soulless opportunistic fraud who gravitates towards the limelight and rests his laurels on---being shot down and tortured. How many times will Americans fall for the Faux Patriots who wrap themselves inthe American Flag while they question the Patriotism of any American who questions the morality of his government engaging in unneccessary and ill advised War Games destroying the lifes of people in foreign lands? You may hate their leaders policy but one must be hesitant to sentence their citizens to death in order to win votes at home.
McCain spent most of his time in a drunken stupor skirt chasing rich women, looking for someone to replace his Daddy. McCain is as fictional as McHale's Navy, the 1960's TV show. Ask the wife he left behind whether her loyalty was properly reciprocated. His first wife waited patiently for his return from Vietnam. However, shortly before McCain's return she lost her model like appearance in a severe accident. John McCain returned to his continued skirt chasing and courting of the most affluent women he could find and coerced his wife in exchange for getting one of his then cronies to pay her medical bills. That crony is Ross Perot (see below what he thinks of McCain now). John McCain is more America's self entitled Preppy Brat who went from Daddy to his Mommy, Cindy McCain. McCain the "Maverick" is hardly his own man.

Consider Cindy McCain, his trophy wife who supports him with her family fortune, yet he cheats on her and he has on record referred to as a CUNT. What does that say about McCain's character?? I mean if a woman and her family pay your bills and support and enable your existence financially, a more appropriate title for her might be GODDESS right? Ross Perot, one of McCain's early benefactors, who pays McCain's first wife's medical bills considers McCain a soul less opportunitistic fraud who seeks the limelight and glory. So you say you are a Republican, I still say, look behind the "man" and what you will be reminded of is the Great Oz inthe Wizard of Oz. When they pulled back the curtain, there he was a little man. That my friends is the essence of John McCain. Parties matter not, I am an American first and a member of any party secondarily. You contrast that with the rise of Senator Barack Obama and what you see is a man who has lived a disciplined life, rising up from a relatively moderate background, did some serious soul searching in his youth and rose to become Editor in Chief of the Harvard Law Review, served as a Community Organizer, State Legislator, a Law Professor at the University of Chicago Law School and U.S. Senator and a devoted family man. Now that my friends is character. So it is your choice, McCain the mouse or Obama the man.; July 22, 2008 5:36 PM

McCain was tortured so severely in Vietnam that he tried to commit suicide. Nine out of 10 POW's who returned from Vietnam were diagnosed with PTSD. Perhaps McCain's "Straight Talk" Campaign of 2000 vs. Bush combined with his hosting Media BBQ's at his country homes has so endeared him to those in the Corporate Media that they choose to downplay, disregard or rationalize his consistent inability to recall basic facts, put together coherent responses or randomly lashing out in anger and singing strange songs like "Bomb Bomb Iran" to the tune of the Beachboys Barbara Ann. All McCain is programmed to say is that "He is proud of the campaign they are running." Furthermore, despite McCain regularly wearing Navy ballcaps, posing as a TOP GUN ala Tom Cruise, all evidence illustrates that McCain was a terrible pilot, destroyed numerous military aircraft, nearly flunked out of the Naval Academy (graduating 894th out of 899) where he spent more of his time behind a bar stool than studying and preparing to become a proficient pilot. McCain was more enamored with the title and the trappings of being a 'Naval Aviator' than preparing to be a proficient one...likewise he has been consumed with becoming President for the better part of 25 years but clearly is unprepared. McCain was unprepared for Vietnam and is admittedly unprepared now. To quote Wesley Clark, "Well, I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president." Exactly my point, why does fucking up essentially make one a hero? Perhaps it is because so few of the elite classes serve in the military...usually the lower middle class is sent off to die while folks like Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz's sit around and pose as hawks. It is alot easier to be a hawk when the children of other parents are sent off to die. Nevertheless, the record shows that McCain was a marginal pilot at best and his lackof proficiency manning a plane was well established.

McCain has further stated that "the economy is not my strong suit" and "I need my assistants to log me on to the internet. I have no use for email." ----Is this the type of Maverick America needs right now...or a crazy old coot and ignorant schmuck who is the TROJAN HORSE of the NEOCON'S in the GOP? Is this the reason why the GOP is trying to get a stabilizing force and pro business candidate like Mitt Romney on the ticket? Perhaps because the only goal is to beat Obama and for Americans it will be too late when they realize that they have elected an INSANE MAN to be the President. He will get carried through for 4 years while they groom the VP to take over. Why else would Mitt Romney literally kiss McCain's ass? John McCain is a soul less empty vessel who at this point will say anything, align himself with whomever he needs to, to achieve his life long goal. The GOP is knowingly enabling an unstable/unhealthy man simply because he is an R and likely their best bet against OBAMA. BUT, for the GOP to put forth for President a man who is far from intellectually gifted to be begin with, who has a LOW IQ, little intellectual curiousity who may also in fact have lost his marbles is on some level....well, it ought to be a NATIONAL SCANDAL. McCain was never playing with a full deck and now even more cards are missing. Simply put, if McCain were a product you purchased at the store you would return it for being defective or broken.

To quote Michael Douglas one of my favorite actors in one of my favorite movies, "The American President "... whatever your problems, I can assure you (Sen. McCain) is not the least bit interested in solving them. He is only interested is telling you to fear them and telling who to blame for them. That's his tactic and that's how you win elections." McCain's tactics are carbon copied out of the anti-christ Karl Rove's playbook (Rove works for McCain). Be afraid, hate everything that isn't attack mode and vote your fear." Americans must vote your conscience. Be strong and say enough is enough. Democrats, Independents and Republicans should not reward the GOP with a vote for John McCain. They are perpetrating a fraud on the American people through McCain as a Trojan Horse for the NEOCONS. As many suspect, on the eve of the election in the fall, there will be an event in the United States that rally's the War Machine and support for Bush & McCain.; July 31, 2008 8:15 PM

McCain is admitedly highly superstitious. Admits that he believes in "luck" per se. Carries around charms.

McCain has a predeliction for gambling, loves games like craps, etc. This could make his foreign policy reckless.

McCain ditched his first wife, who had raised the kids while he was a captive. He is the first US presidential candidate to admit to committing adultery.

McCain went into politics with the money of his heiress paramour, who he has now married.

McCain claims to be very patriotic, but what objective proof is there of that. Yes, he went to the Naval Academy (almost flunked out) and got into the Navy. But in that he was simply following the career of an Admiral father and and Admiral grandfather.

Getting shot down is not per se an act of heroism. He was never in the jungle with the draftee soldiers, never met Vietnamese other than his captors -- who he still calls "Gooks."

He never experienced the Vietnam war period in the US, he was not aware of the turmoil. He remained anti-feminist, against movements such as that of Martin Luther King, etc.

He is probably less experienced in what it takes to be US President than any other elderly Senator we have.; August 12, 2008 4:25 PM
