WHY JOHN EDWARDS

Will the Democrats shoot themselves in the foot once again and nominate an establishment candidate, Hillary Clinton, who cannot win in the general or will they go with John Edwards who is the only candidate who has said what we all know to be true, Washington is a cesspool dominated by corporate lobbyists to whom Hillary is wedded. Edwards is right in asking whether we want to trade a corporate Democrat for a corporate Republican. When the so called pundits claim Edwards seems angry, arn't you also angry and disgusted with the way business is conducted in Washington. Nothing would change were Hillary to be elected. She is a DLC Democrat surrounded by Washington insiders, Mark Penn, James Carville et. al. She has taken more money from big Pharma and the defense industry than any other candidate including the Republicans. Hillary will mean status quo, business as usual while John Edwards will bring true change. Further he is the only among Obama and Hillary who has won a contseted election. Lets not forget that when Edwards won the Senate in N.C. he took on the Jessie Helms machine defeating Lauch Faircloth, one of the most right wing Senators at the time and he did this in a red state. Obama had in effect a walkthru and Hillary beat an inept Rick Lazio in her first race and faced no real opposition in her second. Edwards has also been fighting and beating corporate interests as a trial lawyer his entire professional life. He gives the Country an opportunity for real change. Further he has the intelligence to surround himself with experienced and capable cabinet members. I would expect him to peg Joe Biden for Secretary of State. If he wanted to make a bold move he should consider Chuck Hagel as Sec Def. And why not Pat Fitzgerald as AG. John was trained as a Trial Lawyer to look at both sides of a case. He was also taught to reach a compomise when it was in the best interests of his client. Further he is the only candidate who would seriously consider rolling back Reganomics which led to the destruction of the middle class by ending the progressive income tax which at the time was 70% one those making over $3.5 million Dollars. Reagan cut it to 16%. Do you think Hillary or Obama would even think about this? We have a real choice in this election-change or the satus quo. John Edwards means change.
