Saying he wants "direct access to the people", Senator Edwards has turned down Secret Service protection for the time being. "I personally would rather, as long as possible, have the freedom to be able to be with the people, to not have barriers between me and them", Senator Edwards told CNN.
It is so refreshing to have a candidate who is not a limousine Washington elitist, a candidate who can connect with people.
